For about 20 years, somewhere in the back of my mind has been the dream of owning a nice cosy coffee lounge, selling bits and bobs, a place that was full of warmth, chatter and happy vibes. So we are hoping that this is what you will find. Whilst COVID-19 may have temporarily paused our (ad)venture, we are now back with gusto! New ranges and products are coming in weekly and Sugar&Spice is particularly proud of the the new 'Take-a-Weigh' range of refillable ingredients and household products.

The majority of the furniture and decor in the shop is upcycled, recycled and reloved. Our purpose is to change the way people look at their 'things'. Choosing an environmentally kind and thoughtful option is the only one we will provide.

Our coffee pods are compostable and made from plant fibres, and of course, ethically sourced. Our food options are, and will only ever be vegetarian or vegan, whilst we also provide gluten free options. Our daily soup is always vegan and gluten free, and we offer a range of made to order sandwiches and wraps.

We are proud to have launched Wallings Ice Creams since August and it's fantastic reputation is drawing customers in.

Sugar&Spice is proud to have links with our local community in Settle. We have groups meeting here, including the local Action for Climate Emergency group (second Saturday of every month); Monday Mingle, enabling local people who would ordinarily be working in isolation, the opportunity to work together, chat and enjoy a coffee. Knit and natter groups meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month as well as 'Sunday Social' mornings, from 10.30am.

Parents and children are more than welcome. With our spacious premises we have easy access for prams, buggies, wheel chairs and frames, and a child friendly play corner, the only place in Settle where you can relax and your little ones can play safely.

Recycling and not adding to the world's ever growing waste problems is important to us. So on top of recycling any waste and delivery packaging. We offer recycling collections for various items, including crisp packets (metallic) to be turned into various items, including emergency foil blankets and money for charity (https://www.terracycle.com/en-GB/brigades/crisppacket) to be sent to women in areas of Africa (https://www.smallsforall.org).

Currently we are working on another idea, which will also help minimise waste in and around Settle

Please bear with us as we put this site together; menus, 'special days', and details of suppliers all coming soon.

We look forward to welcoming you to our special little place very soon.
